Sydney UNI elections

Each day, when I don’t drive into college, I walk through Sydney UNI. This is so I can look cool with all the trendy arts students rushing for their classes. It’s also because they sell campos 70c cheaper than further down the road in Newtown.

One of the great things about walking through Sydney UNI is when student elections are on. Last year my favourite slogan was “Zac to the future”. This slogan perfectly utilised the “Back to the Future” logo. I was so proud.

Anyway, student elections are coming up again. Here are some of the posters. I’m sad the Zac isn’t running again this year. It could of been brilliant.

Time for something with meaning.

It has been a while since I posted anything of any real meaning on here. That is largely due to an almost non-stop summer of activity. Here are the quick highlights.

  • We finished up at family church in mid December.
  • Christmas happened.
  • Tyro has been mental. See some of the stuff we have been doing here.
  • We went on beach mission. We were the cooks. It was mental. Good mental, but still mental.
  • A bit of time was spent getting ready for college starting again.
  • Kirsty started a new job.
  • I started a new job as a student minister at an Anglican Church in Cammeray.
  • Australia dominated in the test series.

Pretty much sums it up. Normal service will now resume.

Moore Mission in Photographs

My time last week down in St George North was a blast. St George North Anglican is a church that I suspect is going to go on to achieve great things in and around St George North. They have a great staff team working there for Jesus. That being said, I don’t think I have ever packed so much into one week for a long time.

This week everyone is back at college, and the assignments are starting to pour in again. I thought I would lighten things up with some random photos I took last week. Enjoy.

p.s you can check out St George North Anglican Church, here.

Newtown in Photo Pt.2

Following on from my photo post the other day, I thought I would post some other photos I’ve taken recently on my daily trips into Newtown and back. I really am starting to love Newtown. There is so much cool stuff there to take photos of. I’m constantly reminded about the great music culture that exists there, there are posters for music gigs literally everywhere you look.

I hope you enjoy these pictures.

Newtown in Photo Pt.1

During the week I catch the train from Hornsby (where Kirsty and I live) to Redfern and then walk to Newtown (where college lives). One of the things that I love about the walk is all the great architecture that I see along the way.

In high school I studied photography from year 8 till year 12, which involved it being a part of my HSC. There are various different genres of photography, but the one type that I really liked was photos of Architecture.

On my walks to college each day, I have started taking photos of the great buildings that I see. These were all shot using my iPhone 4, and edited using the Photoshop Express iOS app.

I hope you enjoy them.
